Weird Owl could be described more as a magical coterie than as a band. This alchemic union exists since 10 years and began in Brooklyn. The music is something between Psychedelic and Stoner rock. The new album “Healing” has more fuzzy guitars than ever and there are elements of the 60s and 70s. Anton Newcombe, singer of the legendary Brian Jonestown Massacre, says about Weird Owl: “Their formula is harmony and simplicity, their sound is the perfect geometry. There is a breeze of beauty over all.” “Healing” isn’t that melancholic like their last album. It’s more a view into heaven, which is not the limit at this point.
