DATA PROTECTION DECLARATION
We at urbanspree.com take the protection of your data very seriously and adhere strictly to the provisions of the data protection acts. Despite careful control of content, we cannot be held liable for the content of external links provided by other operators
1. COLLECTING AND PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
Personal data is only gathered if you give us this information of your own accord when registering for our newsletter, when making a comment or when contacting us via the contact form. Under no circumstances will collected data be sold or transmitted to third parties for other reasons. We store and use the data entered into the contact form, such as name, company, email address and phone number, for the purpose of individual communication. Please ensure that the data is not transmitted in an encrypted form: no confidential information should therefore be sent with the contact form.
When registering for our newsletter you must provide us with your email address. We only use this in order to send you the newsletter. Your email address is stored by us until you unsubscribe from our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending us a message to this effect. When you unsubscribe, you no longer permit us to use your email address. Your email address will then be deleted by us immediately.
You may leave a comment on some of our web pages. There you can state your name, a title and make a comment: filling in these fields is entirely voluntary. After submitting your comment, there is a chance that your comment, together with the name provided and your title, will be published. The comment is only deleted if you send us a request to this effect.
Among other things our website uses so-called “cookies”, which make our Internet presence overall more user-friendly, effective as well as secure – for instance when it means speeding up navigation on our platform. In addition, cookies enable us to assess, for example, the frequency of visits to our pages and general navigation. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer system. We would like to point out that some of these cookies are loaded onto your computer system by our server, this usually concerns so-called “session-cookies”. “Session-cookies” are characterized by the fact that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of your browsing session. Other cookies remain on your system and enable us to recognize your computer on your next visit (so-called permanent cookies). Of course you can always decline cookies if your browser supports this.
3. USE OF TWEETMEME BUTTONS
Our Internet presence uses the TweetMeme button, which is offered by MediaSift Ltd., Building L033, London Road, University of Reading, Reading, RG1 5AQ, Great Britain. The button is a speech bubble with a number and a green “retweet” button. With the TweetMeme button, Twitter users can share our blog articles on Twitter. In addition, the button shows the number of tweets a blog has received.
If you access a web page on our Internet site that contains such a button, your browser sets up a direct connection to the Mediasift servers. The content of the TweetMeme button is transmitted directly to your browser by MediaSift and integrated into the web page. We therefore have no influence over the extent of the data that MediaSift collects with the help of this plug-in and thus will inform you in line with the state of our knowledge. According to this, only the IP address of your connection as well as the URL of our page will be transmitted with the import of the button, but will not be used for any other purpose than to display the button.
4. USING FACEBOOK PLUG-INS
We have integrated so-called plug-ins of the social network Facebook.com (hereinafter “Facebook”) into our Internet presence. Facebook is a company of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. A list of these Facebook plug-ins and their appearance can be viewed at the following Internet address: http://developers.facebook.com/plugins
Every time a web page on our Internet site that contains such a plug-in is accessed, the plug-in triggers the browser you are using to load and display the images of the plug-in from the Facebook server. In so doing, the Facebook server is informed which specific web page on our Internet site you are currently accessing.
If you are a member of Facebook and are logged onto Facebook while visiting our Internet site, Facebook recognizes which specific web page on our Internet site you are currently visiting via the information sent by the plug-in, and assigns this to your personal Facebook user account. If you then use one of the plug-ins, for example by clicking the “like” button or by making a comment, this will be sent to your personal user account on Facebook and stored there. In addition, the information that you have visited our Internet site is transmitted to Facebook, regardless of whether you have activated one of the plug-ins or not.
In order to prevent data about yourself and your surfing activity being transmitted to and stored on Facebook, you must log out of Facebook before you visit our Internet site. In order to block Facebook plug-ins from collecting and transmitting your visitor data in future, you can acquire a browser add-on for some browsers from “Facebook blocker”. Please do not delete the browser add-on as long as you want to block the Facebook plug-ins: http://webgraph.com/resources/facebookblocker/
5. USING THE GOOGLE +1 BUTTON
On our website we use the “+1″ button from the social network Google+ (Google Plus) of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA (hereinafter “Google”).
Every time you access a web page on our Internet site that contains a “+1″ button, the “+1″ button triggers the browser you are using to load and display the images of the “+1″ button from the Google server. In doing so, the Google server is informed which specific web page on our Internet site you are currently visiting. Google saves your browser activity for up to two weeks when showing a “+1″ button for the purpose of system maintenance and error recovery. Your visit to a web page on our Internet site with a “+1″ button is not assessed further.
If you click the “+1″ button while you are logged onto Google+ (Google Plus), Google captures the URL recommended by you, your IP address and other browser related information via your Google profile, so that your “+1″ recommendation can be stored and made publically accessible. Your “+1″ recommendations can be blended into Google services, such as search results, into your Google profile (as “+1″ tab in your Google profile) or into other places on web pages and advertisements, as references together with your profile name and your photo.
6. USING GOOGLE ANALYTICS
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your website use. The information generated by the cookie when using this website (including your IP address, which will, however, be anonymized with the method _anonymizelp() before being stored, so that it can no longer be allocated to a connection) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to assess your website use, to compile reports on the website activity for the website operator and to provide other services related to using the website and the Internet. Google may also transmit this information to third parties if this is legally perscribed or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will Google connect your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being installed by an appropriate setting on your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website you agree to allow Google to process the data collected about you in the manner described above and for the purpose stated. You can stop Google Analytics collecting data in the future by installing a deactivation add-on (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).
7. FURTHER DATA COLLECTION
Further personal data will only be collected if you voluntarily supply this information, for instance within an inquiry. If you have made personal data available to us, we only use it to answer your questions and for technical administration.
8. INFORMATION AND RESPONSIBLE OFFICER
According to the provisions of the German Data Protection Act [Bundesdatenschutzgesetz], every user of the Internet offering urbanspree.com has the right to demand information at any time about which personal data has been stored and for what purpose. In addition, correction of false data and the deletion of data that is not allowed to be stored or that is no longer required may be requested. Our employees and the service companies instructed by us are bound to secrecy and to adhering to the provisions of the Data Protection Act and other occupational data protection provisions.
