Tonight, Black Cracker, Ricardo Domeneck & Urban Spree host a night of reading, video and sound with Berlin-based artists Hanne Lippard, Tomas Hemstad and Doireann O´Malley.
Hanne Lippard was born in England in 1984 and raised in Norway, and after having lived in several European countries, she currently resides in Berlin. She holds a degree in Graphic Design, but her work is conveyed through a variety of disciplines such as film, audio and performance. In order to connect these widespread elements in her work, she always tries to give voice to the subject by positioning herself as the narrator.
Doireann O´Malley was born in Ireland in 1981. Her work navigates through a variety of mediums; Assembling films, writing fragmented word compositions and collecting images are the central methodologies within her practice. Reflections on the private spheres of experience are composed with a subtly political, poetical form. Absurdity, fantasy and dreams inform her constellations.
Tomas Hemstad was born in Sweden. He is a Berlin-based writer, journalist and curator, also responsible for the monthly bashes at Gegen Berlin.
Black Cracker is a Berlin-based by way of Brooklyn Alabama-born writer and producer. His latest releases are the album “Tears of a clown” and the collection of poems “40oz Elephant” (New York: Bowery Books, 2012).
Ricardo Domeneck is a Berlin-based writer from São Paulo, Brazil. He edits two magazines: “Modo de Usar & Co.” in Brazil and “Hilda” in Germany. His upcoming book is his first publication in Germany: “Körper: ein Handbuch.” (Berlin: Verlagshaus J. Frank, 2013).
