The Morlocks

THE MORLOCKS (US/DE) plus GHOST LEE (Berlin)

plus djs afterparty: Kiky Kreemchese (Radio Momento 60) plus Alex Maiorano (Riviera Boys)

THE MORLOCKS
BRING ON THE MESMERIC CONDITION
(Hound Gawd Records/Rough Trade)

As it says in the Bible, “ask and you shall receive” The Morlocks are proud to announce ( for all ye faithful ) the release of their new LP. “BRING ON THE MESMERIC CONDITION” on “Hound Gawd Records. Slated for release early Summer 2018. Recorded By Alaska Winter at various secret locations in Germany ,

East meets West (Berlin). Mixed and mastered by the notorious “Jim Diamond “ of Dirtbombs fame, to give it that special “Motor City” grit and grease that is required on a Morlocks record! Alas it´s been a while since the release of “The Morlocks Play Chess”, “BRING ON THE MESMERIC CONDITION” features something never before offered on a Morlocks LP , all original songs!!!!!

Both as a band and as individuals, The Morlocks have earned their stripes on the rock and roll circuit. Through break-ups, break downs, personnel changes, changing cities and shifts in popular culture, The Morlocks have continually grown stronger at what they do best even as they died their many deaths. In the process, The Morlocks have built up a die-hard following and originality. Where others would have bled out long ago, The Morlocks get stitched up and keep going.

Surprising, then, that in 1999, Spin Magazine printed an inaccurate story declaring the death of their energetic, charismatic lead singer Leighton Koizumi (also fronting the Gravedigger V). Needless to say, Leighton (far from being dead) continues to lead the charge, a duty he has held since the band’s debut LP Emerge. The Morlocks have continued to perform and make records, a number of which have been featured prominently in movies, television shows and video games.

Currently based out of Düsseldorf , Leighton has inlisted a who´s who European fuzz masters… Starting with Rob Louwers – drums ( Fuzztones, Q-65, Link Wray) Oliver Pilsner -Bass ( Fuzztones, Cheeks, Montesas, Magnificent Brotherhood) Bernadette – Guitar ( Sonny Vincent, Humpers) and Marcello Salis ( Gravedigger V, Hangee V), The Morlocks have been secluded in their secret European lair . planning and plotting a new set along with classic fan favorites! You can expect a whole new trip, including new recordings, new tours, new merch, and a new „live“ show guaranteed to melt your mind, make your ears bleed, put some boogie in your backseat, and leave you with an intense feeling of wanting more.

GHOST LEE
Ghost Lee is a new musical collective based in Berlin, masterminded from the psychedelic genius of Tito Lee (Tito and the Brainsuckers, Electric Flashbacks, Leighton Koizumi), eccentric performer and guitar player devoted to the most obscure, intense magnetic sounds from the psychedelic vaults. The band performs a kind of soft psychedelia in the style of West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, Orient Express, Spacemen 3, blended with fuzz ripping influences in the most genuine sixties garage tradition. The band members feature Adrian Gray(Gang Zero, The Dark) on bass and Silver Luke on drums (Brainsuckers, Dead Lovers).
Ghost Lee first album, “Ghostly” is on its way to be released.
Keep your mind open and your fuzzbox on 10!
