“After 25 years of extensive solo works and collaborations throughout the Noise, Industrial and Experimental scene, Sudden Infant is now operating as a three-piece band with Joke Lanz on electronics & vocals, Christian Weber on bass and Alexandre Babel on drums. The international acclaimed noise project has transformed into a Dada-Punk-Noise- Rock trio. Their first band-album „Wölfli’s Nightmare“ in 2014 was produced by Roli Mosimann (Swans, Wiseblood). In the past Sudden Infant toured with Sleaford Mods and played alongside Wolf Eyes, Ben Frost, Merzbow, Derek Bailey, Jim O’Rourke, Thurston Moore, Steve Ignorant, just to name a few.
The brand new 2018 album „Buddhist Nihilism“ was just released by Harbinger Sound UK. It was mixed and mastered by Martin Siewert (Radian) in his Vienna studio and very well received by critics and audiences.”

MODERN CULTS TOUR 2019
Tickets: Presale: 15€ (plus fees) | Doors: 18€
Music for the lost: HOLYGRAM‘s music blends post-punk and new wave with Krautrock and shoegaze elements into a headstrong, multi-layered and thoroughly contemporary homage to the sound of the 1980s, including a resolute look to the future: driving, dark and full of catchy moments. The wide range of influences of the five band members, who got together in Cologne’s vibrating musical landscape in 2015, are unmistakable: New Order meets NEU!. Their unpretentious approach to their own icons proves that references to the past must always be future-oriented, too. Previously impossible-to-combine elements come together cleverly to become the soundtrack of a city that appears threatening in the twilight.

On the occasion of the release of her debut album “Wǒ Men”
Bonnie Li will throw her release party at Urban Spree on the 14th of Feb!
“In Mandarin ‘wǒ’ means I-myself, ‘wǒ men’ is translated into we-us, and if you skip the space in between it gives you ‘women’, I wanted to play around with that.”
Written over the course of the last year, ‘Wǒ Men’ was arranged with Elia M Sycomor and produced by regular collaborator Paolo Pizzuto in their new home in Berlin, setting the start of a new evolution for the artist.
With the use of further instrumentation and adopting a more Dark-Pop aesthetic, Bonnie Li sees the release as the start of a new beginning for her, experimenting further and moving away from her trip-hop-inspired origins.
“Wǒ Men” looks to be a beacon of coveted thoughts, speaking opinions that you know you shouldn’t, channelling insecurity in a search for yourself. It’s organic, dynamic and fragile, distorted as a mirror to the artist’s emotions and fears, sensitive and dark.
Singer/composer & multi-lingual polymath, Bonnie Li has already been praised by the likes of Clash Magazine EARMILK, Rolling Stone Italia and The Line Of Best Fit.
