Urban Spree Galerie will participate to the 3rd Edition of Urvanity Art (28.02-03-03.2019) at COAM in the center of Madrid.
The fair is dedicated to urban contemporary arts and for its first participation to a Spanish art fair, the gallery has designed on 60 sqm a program with 9 artists, mainly based or linked to Berlin, as well as a solo show of works from Hendrik Czakainski.
As for the graffiti part, we are showing photographic works from Martha Cooper/1UP of the acclaimed series « One Week with 1UP », whose exhibition about the Berlin-based graffiti vandal crew was created at Urban Spree in May 2018 and toured worldwide ever since.
Cpt_Olf is joining the roster as well with an iconic image about the Berlin Kidz/Os Cururu.
Bisco Smith (NYC) and Sicoer (Krakow) will be showing their calligraffiti/handstyle skills, both on canvases as well as on paper, through a series of medium-sized inks.
EVOL is a German artist renowned for his detailed stencils on cardboard, his large installations, and his outdoor works on electric boxes, depicting Berlin cityscapes and houses, Plattenbau, and the constant evolution and fragility of the metropolis.
We will also be showing new works on paper from Marion Jdanoff (the half of of French duo Palefroi) and from Victor Ash, adding some portraits painted by Anthony Lister under the influence of Picasso during his Berlin residency at Urban Spree in September 2018.
Last but not the least, we will introduce 3 new paintings from Lars Wunderlich (a.k.a. Look The Weird) as a preview to his upcoming solo show with the gallery in April 2019.
Please contact the gallery ahead of the fair with any questions or requests you may have.

Urban Spree will participate to the upcoming edition of the Outdoor Festival in Rome.
Powered by nufactory, Outdoor festival 2018 is the largest multidisciplinary festival in Italy dedicated to urban cultures, with conferences, exhibitions, concerts, and markets.
The Festival’s main theme for this 8th Edition is around the notions of « heritage » and « disobedience », coupled with the historical perspective of revisiting the legacy of the French student revolts of May 68 on the occasion of their 50th anniversary.
Urban Spree is invited in the arts section to present the works of the Berlin graffiti and parkour crew « Berlin Kidz » with an exhibition consisting of different materials, videos, photographs and artefacts.
The Festival is located at the Mattatoio Testaccio, in the center of Rome.
Outdoor Festival will take place from April 14th, 2018 to May 12th, 2018 in Rome.
10 September 2016 has another premiere for the city that never sleeps: the festival presents the first Lollapalooza Club Night in cooperation with Clubcommission Berlin, bringing you dozens of DJs and acts, plus more than 15 clubs with one ticket.
Urban Spree welcomes you to the Urban Spree Late Summer Sessions feat. Catnapp (AR) live + our secret guest DJs in an outdoor/indoor session.
The fact that Lollapalooza Berlin is more than just a music festival and always good for a surprise is well-established by now, as attractions and highlights like Kidzapalooza, the Grüner Kiez, Lolla Fun Fair and the impressive art programme on the Treptower Park grounds go to show. But we’ve got another bit of icing on the cake for 10 September 2016, and what better reason to bust out those moves: Lollapalooza Club Night!
Just because Kings Of Leon, Paul Kalkbrenner, New Order, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and co. will be finishing their sets on Lollapalooza Saturday doesn’t mean you can’t still get your dance on, au contraire: Lollapalooza Club Night will turn night to day. Working in cooperation with Clubcommission Berlin, Lollapalooza managed to get more than 15 of the city’s hottest clubs to participate in this unique premiere. Just one (additional) ticket and festivalgoers can move the party from Treptower Park to clubs like Ipse, Bi Nuu, Arena Club, Magdalena, Matrix, Tresor, Urban Spree and many more.
This also means your mates who didn’t make it to the festival in Treptower Park can join you in dancing the night away; it goes without saying that anyone can buy a ticket for EUR 17,60 starting now – all are welcome to the first-ever Lollapalooza Club Night. Advance tickets are on sale now – click here to get yours.
