« Have You Seen the Listers? » on Netflix

« Have You Seen the Listers? » is a poignant documentary about the life of the artist Anthony Lister, whom we had the privilege to host during a 3-week art residency in Berlin in September 2018.

Directed by Eddie Martin and using mainly the artist’s home video footage, « Have You Seen the Listers? » is a harrowing tale of the rise to artistic fame of the Brisbane-born artist, from the first happy family moments to a very unstable lifestyle, crises, drugs, and a crushing separation.

It is as much about parenthood and family life as making it as a great artist, moving from conservative Australia to NYC, challenging the codes of art, leaving his mark in galleries and on the street, being free, oblivious and focused, but being unable to maintain a normal family life, and enduring severe breakdowns.

The movie is now available on Netflix.

Paradox – und seine Berlin Kidz Crew | TRACKS

Franco-german TV channel arte runs a short documentary about Paradox from Berlin Kidz with large excerpts from the DVD « Fuck the System » as well as new footage from recent actions, an interview about the pixaçao style, the motivations behind all the risk-taking, and future art projects.

The limited edition screen print « Change Your Frequency » is available in our webshop here as well as the last copies of the DVD « Fuck the System ».

Paradox: New video « Change Your Frequency »

Paradox (Berlin Kidz) just released a short 10-minute video, one year after the major DVD release « Fuck the System » (available now here at a special price).

The YouTube release goes alongside a new screen print release, a special hand-pulled 3-colour collector screen print, the first ever print published by the Berlin artist. 100% made in Berlin Kreuzberg.

Fleisch XVII // Kontravoid + Lucy Cliche

Just in case you hadn’t expunged enough sweat from your bodies this summer, FLEISCH returns to the Urban Spree hotbox with two formidable live acts converging in Berlin from opposite ends of the Earth: the masked body-music crafting Kontravoid hailing from Toronto, Canada and the first ever Berlin appearance of electro-wave hardware master LUCY CLICHE all the way from Sydney, Australia. The former whetted our appetite with their ‘Undone’ EP earlier this year, while the latter, we are proud to announce, has an EP of 5 wavey workouts that shall soon be released as F//010.

DJ support comes from the usual Fleisch-fam Halv DrømPrimary and Zanias, with the addition of NYC/Chicago transplant Clarissa.

PSYCHE (CAN)

« Their grandiose themes paint the sky, and all that’s left to do is lie back and admire the view » – SOUNDS UK, 1986

PSYCHE are Canada’s best known Dark Synthpop act. The Electro-Pop pioneers who have been bringing their dramatic lyrical soundscapes with a touch of goth atmospherics, and crafty drum machine grooves to life for the past three decades!

An enduring legend of independent electronic music. From cold harsh industrial, through warm synthpop, dancefloor minimal, dark wave, and beyond. Best known for their hits « Unveiling The Secret », « Eternal », « Misery », « Sanctuary », « 15 Minutes », and their world renowned version of Q Lazzarus’ « Goodbye Horses » (which first became famous by its appearance in the movie « Silence Of The Lambs »).

To date, Psyche has released 11 full length albums, several compilations, and a DVD entitled « Imaginary Life » which includes video and live appearances spanning the formative years from as early as 1983 up to 2005.

SALLY DIGE (DK/CAN)

Sally Dige is a multidisciplinary artist known for her darkly poetic yet highly danceable electro-pop songs, DIY stylistic videos, design and visual art.
Sally‘s deep and commanding voice, coupled with her analogue-visual-processes and overlapping artistic mediums has formed an identity that oscillates between the edges of aggression and fragility, old and new.

Holding On was created during the time of intense inner turmoil. Despite being stretched to her emotional limits, Sally did not let the weight of her circumstances break her, instead channeling all of her pain and fears into the production of a series of incredibly powerful songs.
Stunningly, Sally used only her voice and a single synth to create this album. Even with so little gear, the songs are anything but minimal. Each song has a minimum of 100 tracks and, for some songs, 100 tracks for just the drum section alone. Every audible sound has 20 other sounds swimming beneath it.
These are songs written for dance floors but are sung about loneliness, death and the meaninglessness of existence. Sally‘s work tows the line between a blissful innocence and a heavy darkness. Think Gina X flavored post punk-disco rubbing against Twitch-era Ministry‘s lost Sade collab or Enya on LSD after a break up.

Holding On is Sally‘s second album, following her debut Hard to Please, out on Avant! in Europe and DKA in North America, with two separate cover designs.
