Urban Spree Galerie presents: The CIRCLE SHOW.

A group exhibition featuring a selection of Berlin based artists within our creative network.

Urban Spree is not only an exhibition space but also a cultural melting pot. Since it was found last year, we’ve already built a vibrant community attracting local creatives as well as artists from all over the world. For the first Circle Show, we’ve invited a great lineup of artists to make an art piece each, resembling the shape of a circle.

The idea of the circle represents our circle of friends that made Urban Spree an amazing place. We are looking forward to showcase the best creatives in Berlin who are closely connected to us.

Frank Dyballa: “Intra Muros/Extra Muros”

frankflyerIn the exhibition entitled “Intra Muros/Extra Muros”, Frank Dyballa shows two series in different styles, depicting rooms and landscapes, that developed simultaneously as a sort of a response to each other. His figurative and abstract paintings trace images of home, shelter, adventure and explore its ambiguities. His work is not so much about categorizing in either abstraction or figuration, but more what mood sceneries trigger within a visual language. There is something odd about these sceneries: deserted interiors and remote Caribbean resorts fluctuate between search of traces and decampment.

Frank Dyballa is a visual artist living and working in Berlin.

“Intra Muros/Extra Muros” is the third in the series of Urban Spree Artist Curated Shows after Sophia Hirsch and Tomasz Kobialka.

The exhibition is curated by Urban Spree resident artist Andrea Wan.

Vernissage on June 5th, 2013 from 19:00. Exhibition June 6th to June 16th, 2013. Thu-Sun
