"Dǎs KämpF" is one of the first underground American comics that was first published in 1963.
These black-and-white drawings depict American, German and Russian soldiers in a variety of crazy situations, with a round graphic design very far removed from Walt Disney. Under the guise of a parody of the Second World War and the Cold War, Bodé offers a burlesque vision of a world of order and hierarchy, where soldiers, agitated by often petty passions, follow orders without really knowing why.
