This series proposes a journey around the space (of the image) whose intention is to go through the bodies to talk, from their own fragments, of the most indivisible part of physical and political control. The project was born out of need to reflect about a global state of consumption and repression in which legitimate use of force and social protest and poverty criminalization are common elements, usually justified in the name of security.
All the images were taken during 2012 to 2014 during police charges where Mario Zamora turned his gaze to the confrontations, and more specifically to enforcement authorities. He focused on their condition as individuals, scrutinizing their reactions and gazes, recording the distance marked with demonstrators, striving to restitute their body language, but also close to abstraction.
