Money Must Be Made is Lorenzo Vitturi’s highly anticipated second photobook, and it takes us straight to the heart of the Balogun Market in Lagos, Nigeria. Continuing to explore themes such as globalization, urbanization, colonialism and capitalism, Vitturi has spent the past three years working on the project.
30 years after its original and only release in 1987, Michael Schmidt's legendary photobook "Waffenruhe" ("Ceasefire") is considered as the best photobook about Berlin at the time of the Wall. It was never reprinted and very hard to find.
These photographs were made on long walks through the streets of African capitals, including Johannesburg, Durban, Maputo, Beira, Harare, Nairobi, Kigali, Kampala, Addis Ababa, Luanda, Libreville, Accra, Dakar and Dar es Salaam, and the series takes its title from the Museum of the Revolution in Maputo, Mozambique.
