About the Concert
Die Verwandlung ist vollzogen: Die aus Leeds stammenden Vessels haben sich nach vier Jahren mit einem komplett neuen Sound zurückgemeldet, einem Sound, in dem sie die epischen, überdimensionalen Arrangements ihrer vorherigen Aufnahmen mit noch mehr elektronischen Elementen vermählen und auf pure Euphorie setzen. Kurz gesagt: Auf ihrem neuen Album „Dilate“ brechen Vessels ganz klar in Richtung Dancefloor auf! Seit Jahren für ihre krasse Live-Show gefeiert, war auch bei den zuletzt absolvierten Konzerten von Vessels die Energie ihres einstigen Daseins als Rockband ganz klar zu spüren: Das Rampenlicht war auf zwei Schlagzeuger gerichtet, während sich Band und Publikum gegenseitig anfeuerten – und das nicht nur bei großen Festivals wie dem Glastonbury, sondern auch im Berliner Berghain. Ähnlich wie Jon Hopkins, Moderat und Caribou, ist es auch Vessels gelungen, ihre mal epischen, mal komplexen und dabei stets euphorischen Studioaufnahmen perfekt auf die Bühne zu transportieren. Nun gehen sie mit ihren neuen Elektroklängen auf Deutschlandtour.
