zeug was founded as an experimental music project in 2015 in Berlin. Through a few line-up changes, the band went through being a free-jazz noise duo to noise-rock band and ended up as an improvisational dronepunk act with 3 constant band members, who are constantly inviting guest musicians to collaborate on their material.
Since 2020 the unspoken rule of the band is to never use a well-treated music studio for the production, but rather to let the acoustics of an unprepared place play along with the material.
After a few EPs and singles, the band is now going to record their first LP – which will be released on a double vinyl and published online exclusively on bandcamp.
zeug will reside in Bremen for the recording on the boat MS Loretta in the middle of October. Before that, the band is presenting the full material at Urban Spree.
