On 27.09.2026, ATOK & Out Of Line present Kathryn Mohr at Urban Spree, Berlin.
The music of Oakland-based artist Kathryn Mohr exists in a liminal space of auditory dissociation – dark ambient, slowcore and avant-folk woven from ethereal vocals, drifting drones and field recordings. Signed to the dark experimental label The Flenser, her work chases the ephemeral nature of humanity, the warping of memory, and how trauma changes the way we move through the world.
Her debut album Waiting Room (2025) was written and self-recorded over a month in eastern Iceland, inside a windowless concrete room of a disused fish factory. Its follow-up Carve (2026) turns further inward: an album about love experienced as a form of grief – not the aftermath of loss but a condition of intimacy itself – about memory embedded in landscape, and about what it takes to trust and feel after years of isolation. On stage, her songs are hushed, immersive and quietly devastating. For fans of Grouper, Midwife, Chelsea Wolfe and Mount Eerie.
Support comes from SIEM REAP, the solo project of Gilles Demolder (guitarist of Oathbreaker and Wiegedood). Trading the weight of his main bands for something quieter and more confessional, Siem Reap moves through lo-fi, warped folk, slowcore and shoegaze – painfully honest, dryly funny, and a natural fit for the night.
