In June 2020 heavy music power house Relapse Records released Living Gate's debut EP 'Deathlust' to the world. The band had been formed briefly before by members of YOB, Wiegedood and Amenra who bonded over their love for classic death metal bands like Suffocation, Morbid Angel and Cannibal Corpse while on tour together. The ‘Deathlust’ EP was met with praise and a first tour was meant to start right at the time of the release, but... COVID-19!
Fast forward to 2024: Living Gate have now recorded their first full length album, set for a release later in the year, again on the mighty Relapse Records. The bar has been raised with songs that pair technicality and agression with catchiness. The band have also sharpened their live skills by playing a number of shows throughout Belgium and The Netherlands, so they’re eager and ready. This time around not even a global pandemic will be able to stop them.
