Out of Norway’s dark woods the unexpected, yet violently functional duo of Okkultokrati and Nekromantheon has forced a bloodpact with Berlin’s most revered gutter rock trio Maggot Heart (with whom Okkultokrati already shared last year‘s split LP on Rapid Eye Records).
Nekromantheon still wear the oozing wounds of their last magnificent output, 2021’s „The Visions of Trismegistos“ and are finally ready to bleed their piercing thrash metal attack all over our cities. Okkultokrati is bringing a savory cut of their keyboard-ridden, black metal/d-beat mutant creature to the party, while Maggot Heart snickers in the corner and lights another cigarette, while intoning yet another decadent hymn to dark corners and spent city nights.
If heavy music still means something outside of tired cliches in 2022, then this fierce triumvirate is its perfect embodiment.
