SCALPING ist eine vierköpfige Band aus Bristol, Großbritannien. Sie besteht aus dem Schlagzeuger Isaac Jones, James Rushforth am Bass, Nick Berthoud an der Gitarre und dem Produzenten und DJ Alex Hill. Seit über fünf Jahren macht die Band gemeinsam Musik und bringt Gitarren und Electroklänge zusammen.
 
Auf dem Debütalbum "Void" machen SCALPING Heavy Metal in 4D; der Sound ist stimmungsvoll, verzerrt und rhythmisch, aber der Einsatz elektronischer Techniken gibt den feineren Details Raum zum Atmen. Ihr früherer Drang nach "all loudness, no nuance" hat sich ebenfalls abgekühlt und schafft mehr Raum für Experimente. Tracks wie "Tether" mit dem Rapper DÆMON aus Oakland verleihen dem Trip-Hop aus Bristol eine moderne, metallische Note, während der Song "Remain In Statsis" mit dem aufstrebenden Künstler Grove - einem Rapper aus Bristol und bekennenden Metalhead - aufwartet, dessen beeindruckende Präsenz den Track zum Leuchten bringt. Diese Songs markieren auch ein zusätzliches neues Kapitel für die Band, da sie zum ersten Mal mit Gesang arbeiten.
