The Mauskovic Dance Band - Affro-Caribbean Sounds from Amsterdam with only one goal: To make people dance! The Mauskovic Dance Band was founded by Amsterdam drummer and producer Nicola Mauskovic. Originally as a fun project and compensation to stage and studio engagements for acts like Altin Gün, Jacco Gardner or W. I.T. C.H. Their sound of driving percussions, Afro-Caribbean rhythms and space disco sounds was so well received that Nicola and his long-time collaborators Donnie Mauskovic (vocals, keyboards, effects), Em Nix Mauskovic (guitar, synthesizer, percussion) and Mano Mauskovic (bass) decided first to take the plunge onto the stage and secondly to raise the issue more professionally. The whole project really got going when drummer and Cumbia producer Pablo completed the band. Live these Caribbean rhythms work best with spacey sounds, by the way.
