About the Event
In Spring 2014, Urban Spree goes Greenhouse!
For three months and for the first time outside Denmark, we have invited the team of Urban Greenhouse to install three greenhouses on wheels to visit our urban garden area. The Urban Greenhouses invite visitors to experience the growing of vegetables and herbs and enjoy a recreational, green moment. The environments will be created in collaboration with the Danish design companies Stelton and We Do Wood
The Urban Greenhouse is a 2m² mobile greenhouse designed and produced in Denmark. The decor of the greenhouse is flexible, including the possibility of placing two chairs and a coffee table inside it. In winter it will serve as a conservatory and in summer as a luxuriant green space with home grown tomatoes, chilis, or what you like to grow.
Opening Sunday March 30th of March |15:00 – 18:00 | Free Entrance
As a warm-up before the opening at Urban Spree, we will wheel a greenhouse, together with a small, mobile lounge environment, around Friedrichshain's Kiez. We will make stops on the route and invite passers-by to have a chat, a moment of green recreation and a nice cup of tea.
The tour will end at Urban Spree around 15:00 o’clock, where visitors can meet the team behind Urban Greenhouse and experience being an urban gardener themselves.
