This week Mobile Kino welcomes guest programmer Kirill Galetski with a encore open air presentation of a Lithuanian Sci-Fi that's an absolutely mind blowing visual trip.
VANISHING WAVES
"Vanishing Waves (a.k.a. Aurora) is an erotic science-fiction drama by thirty-something Lithuanian filmmaker Kristina Buožytė. Lukas (Marius Jampolskis), is a young neuroscientist engaged in a medical experiment personally monitoring the brain activity of coma victim Aurora (Jurga Jutaitė). Wired into her mind while in an induced coma, he encounters her within an almost primal dream state and is instantly smitten with her – and she with him. They immediately begin exploring each other’s sexuality, and the strong bond that they form begins to adversely affecting Lukas’s life outside of the experiment. He decides to keep his involvement and obsession with Aurora a secret from both his colleagues and his girlfriend and probes the darkest corners of Aurora’s mind."
