About

Blood and Soil features 48 works from Peterson's 2018 exhibition, Blood and Soil, that he held at Over the Influence in 2018, where he created a series of paintings and sculptures that commented on the socio-political tensions during the Trump administration and the Black Lives Matter movement . The book also includes 12 paintings from Truth and Lies (2020).

With his skillful, strange, and unforgettable large figurative tableaux, Peterson forcefully translates the consciousness of carnage and chaos, issuing a powerful indictment against universal violence, past, and present.

Cleon Peterson is an American artist based in Los Angeles.
