The Scandinavian writer BATES (b. 1971 in Copenhagen) has been active since 1984 and is one of the few who has remained consistently prolific without ever pausing his career.
The book is filled with the sketches from the Scandinavian writer. The choice was made to present them as they actually are: marked with paint, spraydust, filled with handwritten notes, folded from being carried in a pocket, or weathered from a night outdoors. Each one is raw, authentic, and a direct insight into his process.
The sketches are also presented alongside the actual graffiti made in the street. Thanks to the procede, the books let us travel in the years and takes us through the graffiti artist's preparations for his actions and let us see the variations between the sketch and the actual wall.
The book is also enriched with reflections and texts by BATES about the essence of style writing.
