About

The Selfeet is a series of self-portraits about the ridiculous practice of narcissism on the Internet by Lucie Beudet.

Social network feeds and our lives have been invaded by selfies. This topic has been mentioned more than 92 million time on Twitter in 2014. A narcissistic, self-centred, symbol of the “look at me, like me” trend.

Artists, Politics, models…. Everyone is concerned by the “self-portrait” phenomenon. By releasing #TheSelfeet, a compilation of her feet photos, describing her everyday tribulations, Lucie Beudet proposes her own pop, experimental and provocative interpretation of the digital trend and branding.

About the Photographer:

After graduating from the Arts School of Olivier de Serres, Lucie Beudet started her carrier in 1997 as an artistic director of the web agency Pekin with David Creuzot. The agency is awarded with Creative Prizes and has become one of leading players in the French digital market.

In 2006, Pekin is acquired by La Chose agency and Lucie Beudet became creative director. She worked with famous advertising personalities as Eric Tong Cuong or Pascal Grégoire.

In 2008 comes a new 100% digital challenge for Lucie Beudet and David Creuzot. They launched their very own startup Konbini.com, a true UFO webTv in the former media landscape. In few years, the confidential underground video platform became the global leader in pop culture on the Internet.
