Berlin-based 1UP Crew is not immune to the summer heatwave and they prove it once again in this 3′ adrenaline-fueled video released in August 2018.
The book “One Week with 1UP” – as well as the summer t-shirts and hoodies collection – is available in our Berlin bookstore and online here.
The Berlin 1UP Crew just released a breakthrough video with simultaneous graffiti action captured by a drone in a breathtaking single 4-minute long take.
The action took place in Athens, Greece, sometime in December 2017.
Berlin-based 1UP Crew releases next Thursday, May 18th, 2017 a new screen print exclusively through Urban Spree.
The 50 x 70 cm hand-pulled print will be available at Urban Spree and online here.
‘Bangkok Ghost Tower‘ is a 2-colour screen print produced by the 1UP Crew in February 2016 based on a photograph taken by the crew after the action. The run comes in a limited edition of 100 signed and numbered copies and can be purchased at Urban Spree in Berlin or on our website.
The spectacular original 1UP rooftop bombing originally dates from 2011 and was the first large scale graffiti on the abandoned and decaying tower and as well remains the highest elevation graffiti in Bangkok.
The 50-storey high Sathorn Unique Tower, rumored to be haunted, cast an ominous spell on the city skyline and has become an unofficial urbex spot, rightfully crowned by the Berlin-based crew.
This is the first 1UP screen print released since the ‘I AM 1UP’ solo show at the Urban Spree Galerie held in October 2014.
The 2 original large format photographs below related to the Bangkok action which are from the book & exhibition ‘I AM 1UP’ can also be purchased by writing to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Ahead of their first solo show at Urban Spree, the Kreuzberger 1UP Crew hit the wall with non-conventional weapons. Massive effect guaranteed. ONE UP!
From 09.05.2018 to 27.05.2018, Urban Spree Galerie hosts “One Week with 1UP”.
“One Week with 1UP” is a unique photographic & art project involving the legendary NYC photographer Martha Cooper, the Berlin-based photographer Ninja K. and the Berlin-based, world-famous vandal graffiti crew 1UP (“One United Power”).
The book and the exhibition “One Week with 1UP” forge a unique bond between the most-known documentary photographer of the graffiti and hip hop scenes since the late 1970s and the world’s largest and fearless graffiti crew of the 21st century.
While the show predominantly exhibits photographs, it also shows for the first time art installations and paintings from the crew.
Among these, we can mention a stunning triptych painted in situ with a fire extinguisher filled with black acrylic paint – one of the crew’s outdoor signature tools.
There is also an impressive wall sculpture compression (“Letters of Power 2.0”) which is made of thousands of used-in-action spray cans, cut with high pressure water for 24 hours, and covered with thick layers of resin. There are only two similar pieces ever made by the crew: one is on display at the Urban Nation museum in Berlin and the other at Urban Spree Galerie.
The exhibition “One Week with 1UP” represents a unique chance for collectors to acquire original works as well as a historic series of photographs of the crew.
“One Week with 1UP” is a unique, behind-the-scenes document and is available at Urban Spree Berlin and online on our webstore
