Blind Delon, H ø R D, Leere live + after party Herzschlag

BLIND DELON

Founded in 2016 by Mathis Kolkoz and after releasing several works on Oráculo Records / Bordello A Parigi and some DJ sets around Europe, Blind Delon raised to a multi-art project (3 musicians and a visual composition by the french artist AFB).

With their heads and bags filled with synthesizers from a time they weren’t even born, the band can be found today between a record shop and a cave rave, looking for an aesthetic that is nowhere near dying. Post-Synthwave might be the best words to qualify the project, as the music is a sort of breed between outrageous Pop and cold basslines.

Building a bridge between Pop and Rave music, Blind Delon is making a NOT conventional yet romantic Post-Punk sound.

H ø R D

H ø r d creates electronic music inspired by coldwave, soundtracks, fantasy movies, oscillating between epic compositions, EBM and techno pulse, and also more contemplative tracks.

After performances on his own musical territory, he gradually came to the European synth wave scene, signing a remix for Winter Severity Index (Rome) and performing live in Germany (Wave Gotik Treffen), Belgium, Czech Republic, Swiss, Malta, Italia, Austria, Spain.

His first album “Focus on light” was released 2016 on Anton Maiiovi’s label Giallo Disco Records, and sold out 6 weeks later.
In 2017, his third EP «Futures» is out on Sacred Court, label of electronic artist SNTS.

His upcoming second LP will be out in Avant! Records in September, 2018.

«The label Giallo Disco Records have described the music as “Reverb-Soaked Urban-Gothic Melancholic songs, between synth-shoegaze and violent EBM,” and believe the album will “will resonate strongly with fans of Pornography-era The Cure, Joy Division and classic Nine Inch Nails.” To our ears we hear strains of early Tropic of Cancer and dare we say Pet Shop Boys, and overall, as you’ll be able to tell from the album preview below, it’s a well informed reincarnation of what makes the synth, minimal and no wave genres so appealing today.» JUNO DOWNLOAD (2016)

LEERE

We come from nowhere and move towards emptiness.
Leere is an introvert musical project, trying to express and fill the emptiness inside us. The use of analog and digital sounds of the 80s and the integration of sounds from Berlin, the city that influences her and her music strongly, helps her with that hard task.

Opening of the “No More Crew” Show on May 18th

Urban Spree Galerie proudly presents the new body of works of 3 of the most influential contemporary urban artists, Jan Kaláb, Pasta Oner and Michal Škapa, hailing from Prague, Czech Republic.

“No More Crew” is not a crew, but 3 artist friends, whose friendship has been rooted in graffiti at an early age in the streets of Prague after the fall of the Iron Curtain and later worldwide. Cakes/Point (Jan Kaláb), Tron (Michal Škapa) and Pasta Oner are graffiti heroes and teenage friends but their artist trajectories have been maturing and, while the friendship remains strong, their styles and achievements have been separate, although in a complementary way.

Today, we are proud to present in Berlin their latest bodies of works in a 3-figurehead solo show.

With the soul of an architect, Jan Kaláb easily conquers the third dimension not only in his murals, but also in his canvases. He has grown to embrace the painter within, and although his forte is the creation of objects he has been chiseling away at geometric abstraction, discovering spaces interior and without, regardless of the clichéd expression “that’s been done.”

The same could be said of PASTA ONER. It is possible to cite the clearly visible sources of inspiration, identify the specific paraphrases. Yet one must also take into account the force and accuracy with which he mirrors the conservative Central European mindset. How spot-on is his commentary on the bad habits of consumerism, or the directness with which he tackles the large format through his short post-pop messages.

Michal Škapa, by contrast, works with the moment of replication, the multiplication of a graphic element, with a hand patently the descendant of an expert graffiti artist. His style is ornamental, rhythmic, abstract and concrete at the same time. He is the draughtsman of his canvases, the transmitter of symbols, creator of expansive mural-format comics with unsettling subject matter.

The exhibition No More Crew at Urban Spree Galerie presents a trio of disparate and yet splendidly and mutually complementary artists. Their work defies being simply the result of the overused epithet “drawing on street art”, and at the same time any confrontation with their work requires such a label. Space, place, city, symbol, sign. Something for everybody.

Real World Sound, Abstract & Drone | Tape recorders – Reel to Reel – Devices.

Marta Zapparoli is an Italian experimental sound artist, improviser, performer, resercher and musician. She works and lives in Berlin from 2007. Her music mainly consists in strongly narrative sonic pieces that she builds using a wide variety of recording techniques, devices and selfmade microphones . Although it could be qualified as abstract, Zapparoli’s music reveal an accurate sense of nativity, she building strongly narrative and sonic pieces live through improvisation with real-time tape manipulation as scratch, back and forth, cutting, mixing producing rough sounds.

This sound material is transformed and placed in other contexts, subsequently changing its original character creating sounds that are considered , non-musical, overheard, imaginative . ESPECTRA NEGRA

Industrial Noise | Analogue Electronics | Tapes | Sacred Scream Voice & Laptop.

Solo project by Verónica Mota who also operates as Cubop (active since 2005) in the underground industrial noise & avant-garde scene Berlin’s. Her first album “Savage Justice” was released at Schlagstrom festival 2013 which is one of the best industrial festivals in Germany. This album got such an excellent resonance that she has become now one of the best international female (solo) noise & industrial projects including Pharmakon(US), Puce Mary (DK) or Dry Greed(UK), to mention some. What makes her sound works authentic is her constant sonic research on Shamanic and Ritualistic music. A fascinating tool she uses to exorcise her audience.

This year Espectra Negra’s second album “Alchemy & Death” is certainly very promising, and it will be release by the cult Japanese label Lust Vessel who offered her a permanent contract (home label) from 2014 on. She has a large amount of sound works as Cubop which are now been printed also by Lust Vessel as a Three Volume Archival Works. Her printed releases are plenty including a tribute compilation to COIL (UK).

Currently Espectra Negra is working on a split tape with Instinct Primal (dark ambient master) from Czech Republic, and also a new one with the legend solo project TZII from Belgium. Both albums to be released this year.

All her works, including the ones produced by her side solo project Cubop, are considered a must have.
