// Ruby My Dear //
Junglecore // Breakcore // Idm

Ruby My Dear, aka Julien Chastagnol, is a producer, songwriter and live performer who fuses melodic
electronica, IDM and jungle to create a highly inventive and musical brand of breakcore. His tracks mix
dreamlike atmospheres and haunting melodies with sharp, complex rhythms, to take the listener on a
constantly evolving journey through his unique sonic universe.
Julien started his Ruby My Dear project back in 2010 with the release of his DJ Shadow’s “Building Steam
with a Grain of Salt” remix, out on his own label, Reconstruction Productions. Now, four years later, he has
produced 8 EPs on both Peace Off and Acroplane and 2 full length albums on Ad Noiseam.
Performing live is also a large part of Juliens arsenal. He brings his intricate production to the stage to
rework his studio pieces so naturally that it seems effortless. He is captivating and engaging to watch on
stage as he blends sonic beauty with live energy.
Notable appearances have been at the Berghain, Glastonbury, Bang Face, Maschinenfest, Fusion Festival
and club events in every major city throughout Europe.
In 2014 Julien joined forces with a Toulouse artist, Lisa Chabbert, to shoot a movie “Jitter Room” and has
completed a new collaborative EP with Igorrr.
In December 2015 comes a new Ep, Balloon, on Kaometry records.

// Ely Muff //
Mashed-up Hardcore

// Ghost //
Zencore // Idm / Jungle / Breakcore

Ghost is a musician/producer based in Cambridge, England who has spent most of his life writing music. Ghost’s organic beats are truly one of kind. As a crucial member of the LIFE4LAND collective and the local rave scene, he remains a highly respected producer by his peers who have come to recognize him as one of the leading forces of LIFE4LAND.

// F000L //

// Substance B //

// Doomham //
Dark’n Bass

Bristol DJ / Producer / Promoter / Label Manager
Doomham has always lurked in the depths of the Jungle Syndicate. Doomham tears out ridiculous Ableton live sets mixing around 20 billion tracks all at once combining heavy amens, fat disgusting reece with beautiful melodic passages in a heavily mashed up style.

// Pakun Jaran //

// Flint Kids //
Techno Tapas // Idm // Sound Design

Flint Kids hail from south London. Sound is his weapon of choice. Get caught in the crossfire.

// c0ma //
IDM Experimental

c0ma is the personal project of Pablo Benjamin from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He’s also the label owner of Abstrakt Reflections.

// Monster X //
Elektro Butcher

There are few artists that live up to their name. Julien Caraz aka Monster X is one of those special few. For when he takes to the stage, a monster is truly unleashed, leaving a trail of destruction as witnessed at various raves and festivals all over Europe. The French born sonic hooligan moved to London 10 years ago, after a performance in France caused a small riot among old punks fighting in a record shop, resulting in smashed windows and other damage.

Since then he’s evolved his production and performance abilities, head-banging his way through a myriad of midi controllers, hardware boxes and self-built Reaktor modules that have won him listeners and fans of extreme and abrasive music from Europe to US and Japan. Although a professional radio/TV sound designer by day, it’s his night time persona as Monster X that has gained him notoriety worldwide, both as a live performer and recorded artist.

One of the few whose work manages to balance great precision with great fury, his tracks have seen support from discerning labels such as Ad Noiseam, Peace Off, Tigerbeat6, Combat Recordings, Murder Channel, Fyerhammer, Bedroom Research and Mutant Sniper, to name but a few. This latest work on Abstrakt Reflections shows a deeper, colder ferocity and more mature side to his production. As ever the music remains dystopian and futuristic, yet the not-too-subtle track titles suggest inspiration and anger drawn from current world events.

// Lokom //
Drum’n Wave

Lokom cut his teeth in Grenoble where he discovered the electronic underground scene in the 2000s.

He quickly developed a passion for live and especially FM synthesis. An avid bass music with tangy trend lokom now work under the banner of experimentation analog-psyche-conductive.

Post-Pictoplasma Character Club Night

The Post-Pictoplasma Character Club Night returns to Urban Spree on Saturday 13.05 for the party climax of the Pictoplasma Festival. Everyone is invited to shake off the overload at the closing party, with one of Debruit’s rare performances in Berlin—a wonky fusion of Congolese sound systems, weird L. A. block parties and freaky Tunisian backstreet souks, all powered by a fat hip hop engine. Opening acts are live performances from Maxwell Farrington and François Club, DJ sets by Henning Specht (Hypnolove) and Le Feu will take the raving crowd through the night.

François Club (FR)

François Club creates a type of rétro-futuristic music, with 80’s style sonorities, somewhere between Sébastien Tellier and Elli et Jacno.

Maxwell Farrington (AUS)

A psychedelic crooner, inenarrable dandy, eloquent clown, Maxwell Farrington touches everything with his warped genius and laisser faire punk attitude–from raw folk to lo-fi experimental, from burlesque pop to the most refined sappy dance music.

Debruit (FR)

Debruit is a musical explorer who imagines alternate worlds and the way they would sound. He plays with time and disparate sounds, moulding static dimensions and geographical borders into new asymmetrical audio-forms. His style is a no hold barred assault through dark Congolese sound systems, downtown L.A. block parties gone wrong, haze filled Kingston recording studios and freaky Tunisian backstreet souks; all powered by a fat hip hop engine, resulting in what can only be described as the heaviest wonky fusions you will hear all year.

Henning Specht (DE)

Henning Specht is a Berlin-based DJ and composer, founder of the bands Hypnolove and France. He has worked on soundtracks, composed original music for exhibitions, and sound designed fashion shows. Expect your full dose of disco!

LeFeu (FR)

LeFeu is DJ and producer of electronic music, and collaborates with She’s Drunk through their SABRINA project.

Nao Katafuchi

Nao Katafuchi is a Japanese artist who makes electronic music with a guitar & a synth box, creates his own world of cold romantic wave.

Growing up in the suburb of Tokyo in the 1980’s, Nao spent his teenage years on the streets of Shibuya searching for instruments and records, falling in love with electronic music and inhaling everything that the district had to offer. The urban flair of Tokyo, where the growth of hi-tech industry was years ahead from the rest of the world, influenced what would later become his retro-futuristic trademark sound.

In 1991, he relocated to New York City’s Lower East Side, where he started working as an audio engineer for recording production companies; picking up a guitar to later form his first band, SUPERFORTRESS, with which he released a couple of self-produced EPs and LPs.

After years of experimenting with different sounds and scenes, Nao finally found a niche of musically kindred spirits at the legendary Wierd Record’s parties, where he made his debut as Nao Katafuchi. Deeply involved in the thriving minimal synth scene of the City, together with acts such as Xeno & Oaklander, Martial Canterel, Epee Du Bois and Led Er Est – he eventually met Willie Burns of Brooklyn’s WT Records, who released his first record, Yumegoto, in 2012.

In the late 2015 Nao moved his home base to Germany, and released his first full length album Émergence from Nadanna, a sister label of Germany’s Anna Logue Records. The album is featuring contributions from Kevin Komoda of Rational Youth, Miss Liz Wendelbo from Xeno & Oaklander, Tomo Akikawabaya and Tona Ohama. Borrowing Liz Wendelbo’s words, it is easy to imagine oneself lost in Nao’s music “while driving through Tokyo at night: neon lights, mannequins in shopwindows, and empty streets”, enthralled within his sonic creation of a future past.

Todesstrahlen is a brand new band based in Berlin which mixes industrial, wave and psychedelic sounds. The organic and natural mixture comes from the former experiences of the three members who have been active in several bands of different musical scenes. Born at the beginning of the 2016, they recorded a first DIY album after some improvisation sessions where self-made instruments (made with construction site materials) and hypnotic shoegaze guitar and bass sound were setted up.

Yuto Yamada: Berlin/Tokyo

Berlin-based photographer Yuto Yamada has two favorite objects for his camera: Berlin and the city where he comes from: Tokyo.

Processed with VSCOcam with f1 preset

In his ongoing series ‘Berlin Raw’ he takes us on a journey to the dirty abandoned side of Berlin with all its graffiti, destruction and decay. This a total contrast to his otherwise very futuristic and shiny photos of Tokyo’s illuminated skyscrapers with a neo Tokyo style. And it is exactly this contrast that is the appeal for Yuto Yamada.

‘BERLIN / TOKYO’ is a photographic journey and modernist tale of two apparently opposed metropolises, the hi-tech Tokyo and the lo-fi Berlin.
